Listed Building Renovation, Interior & Garden Design — 33 Groveway, SW9, London
This full renovation of a listed building at 33 Groveway, SW9 was delivered with both planning permission and listed building consent, reflecting a sensitive yet contemporary approach to heritage property refurbishment in London. The brief was to reimagine the home with a modern, Scandinavian-inspired interior design aesthetic while carefully preserving and enhancing the building’s original architectural character.
Working closely with the clients, we created a series of warm, inviting interiors defined by soft neutral colour palettes, natural materials and a playful use of pattern. Each room was designed with its own individual identity, allowing the home to feel layered and expressive while remaining cohesive throughout. Cole & Son wallpapers were used extensively to introduce colour, texture and personality, reinforcing the balance between modern Scandinavian restraint and creative, contemporary design.
The dining and living rooms was conceived as an elegant, sociable space, while the kitchen was redesigned with a more modern, relaxed feel, combining clean-lined cabinetry with warmth and functionality. Throughout the house, bespoke joinery, thoughtful spatial planning and refined detailing ensure the interiors are both practical and visually engaging.
The project extended into the garden, which was designed as an integral part of the home rather than a separate outdoor space. Reflecting the same Scandinavian-influenced palette and playful sensibility found inside, the garden design complements the interior scheme, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. The garden was subsequently featured in the Evening Standard, recognising its considered design and contribution to the overall character of the home.
