Listed Townhouse Renovation, Interior Architecture & Garden Redesign — Castellain Road, Maida Vale, London
Our ongoing work at Castellain Road in Maida Vale reflects a long-term collaboration with the clients and showcases our expertise in listed townhouse renovation, high-end residential interior design, and heritage-led refurbishment in London. Following the initial full renovation of this period property, we returned to undertake a second phase of works, focusing on the lower ground floor redesign, kitchen relocation, and garden refurbishment to better support modern family living.
The lower ground floor was comprehensively reconfigured to improve spatial planning, circulation and flexibility. By relocating the bespoke kitchen, we created a more generous open-plan kitchen dining space with a stronger visual and physical connection to the garden. This allowed for the introduction of a larger family lounge area, designed for everyday living, entertaining and relaxation. An existing TV room was transformed into a versatile playroom and guest bedroom, offering adaptable accommodation for visiting family and guests.
The garden redesign was integral to the scheme, conceived as a seamless extension of the interior living spaces. Through careful integration of landscape design, bespoke joinery, refined materials and thoughtful detailing, the garden now forms part of the overall open-plan layout, enhancing natural light, flow and indoor–outdoor living.
This Maida Vale residential refurbishment demonstrates our experience in listed building interior architecture, London period home renovation, bespoke family interiors, and luxury townhouse design, delivering a timeless, functional and beautifully considered home that continues to evolve alongside the needs of a growing family.
