Full Renovation of a Georgian Period Listed Home
Our Castlewood Avenue project involved the complete renovation of a Georgian period listed house in Dublin 6 for a family of four. The brief was to create elegant, welcoming interiors that celebrated the building’s historic fabric while supporting modern family living. As specialists in heritage home restoration, Georgian interior design, and listed building renovations in Dublin, we approached the project with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and architectural integrity.
Working closely with specialist craftspeople and landscape designers, we developed a design scheme that restored and enhanced the property’s original architectural features while introducing bespoke joinery, tailored storage solutions, refined finishes and carefully curated furnishings. Every detail was considered; from handcrafted cabinetry and period-appropriate detailing to the discreet integration of modern comforts and technology; ensuring that contemporary living requirements were met without compromising the home’s heritage character.
The project extended into the garden, where new landscaping and outdoor living areas were created to complement the interiors and establish a seamless connection between inside and out. This holistic approach ensured the property was elevated both aesthetically and functionally.
Spanning approximately twelve months from concept to completion, this was a project defined by sensitivity and precision. The result is a home that honours its Georgian legacy while offering timeless, sophisticated comfort. A lasting example of heritage-led design and high-end residential refurbishment in Dublin 6.
